One Community Health is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) serving communities in Oregon and Washington. They provide comprehensive primary care services, including family medicine, women’s health, and chronic disease management, alongside integrated dental and behavioral health care to support the diverse needs of their patients.
One Community Health faced mounting provider burnout due to extensive after-hours charting and documentation demands. Providers were logging in late at night, struggling to balance charting with personal time. The clinic also needed a solution that would ensure accurate, real-time documentation while allowing providers to focus on patient care. Without efficient documentation support, provider satisfaction and work-life balance were deteriorating, threatening both patient care quality and staff retention.
To address these challenges, One Community Health partnered with Scribe-X to implement a medical scribe program. This program was tailored to the clinic’s needs, providing highly trained medical scribes who worked alongside providers to document patient encounters in real time. Scribe-X conducted comprehensive training to align scribes with clinic workflows and electronic health record (EHR) requirements, ensuring seamless integration into One Community Health’s operations. The program focused on reducing providers’ administrative burdens and improving the accuracy and timeliness of documentation.
